TIKLY GRADUATES FROM STARTUPCITY DES MOINES, BEGINS WORK WITH ENTREPRENEURIAL TECHNOLOGIES, AND EXPANDS TO DOWNTOWN DES MOINES OFFICE

One of CNBC’s Top Five Startups Continues to Grow in Hometown of Des Moines, Iowa.

DES MOINES – (May 27, 2013) – Tikly, the two year-old artist-focused, fan-friendly ticketing platform, graduates from StartupCity Des Moines May 31, 2013 and will move to the Lovejoy Building in downtown Des Moines, IA. In addition to the graduation, Tikly will be engaging the services of Urbandale-based Entrepreneurial Technologies.

Emma Peterson, Tikly Founder and CEO, says, “We are very excited to continue our story in Des Moines, Iowa. This community has provided so much support, encouragement and inspiration to do what we do. It’s our hope that keeping our office downtown will mean we remain a part of this vibrant community.”

StartupCity Des Moines on Sixth Avenue in downtown Des Moines is a technology incubator for high-growth tech companies. Currently home to several startups (including Tikly), it provides startups the space and mentors to collaborate with one another while growing their businesses. Tikly’s graduation is the second from the tech incubator; Meidh Tech graduated from StartupCity earlier in 2013.

“We are excited to see Emma move Tikly to its next phase in life – growing with more artists, venues, and events nationally. With their continued support of the innovative artists performing in hundreds of small and large venues, Tikly has connected the artist to the fan directly and we are excited to see them grow”, said Tej Dhawan, mentor-in- residence and co-founder of StartupCity Des Moines.

Tikly has engaged the services of Urbandale-based Entrepreneurial Technologies, a company offering customized and efficient mobile, desktop and web applications. The company is committed to the “Silicon Prairie” community in the Des Moines area, focusing on details that are crucial to make technological applications work to their full potential, including market and revenue designs.

“We’re thrilled to be working with Tikly to help them continue to grow,” says Entrepreneurial Technologies Founder and CEO, Erin Rollenhagen, “We’ve always loved what they’re doing, and their values and vision align almost perfectly with ours. We’re excited to continue to be a part of the Des Moines technology startup community as it evolves.”

To make room for its expanding business, Tikly is opening office space in the Lovejoy Building at 12th Street and Mulberry. This 100 year-old building is currently home to Handbill Letterpress, Cameron Sadeghpour Photography and Authentic Records. In addition to these, the Lovejoy Building also provides practice and recording space for various Des Moines bands including The Nadas and MINT.

The Nadas’ most recent album, “Lovejoy Revival” was recorded in the space that Tikly will now call “home.”

Brandon Clark, MINT’s bassist, commented, “Tikly is a very welcomed addition to the

already great music community in the Lovejoy Building. Emma’s energy and passion is

infectious and we are looking forward to working even more closely with Emma, and the

rest of Tikly, as they continue to grow and empower more musicians.”

About Tikly

Tikly was launched in May 2011 by founder and CEO, Emma Peterson, after she recognized the need for artists, venues, and event organizers to have a channel to sell tickets directly to their customer base instead of going through large corporations that charged exorbitant fees. Based in Des Moines, Iowa, Tikly is a ticketing platform that offers lower service fees, opens revenue streams for artists, venues, and organizations, and places event promotion back in the hands of the talent and event organizers.
